The mobile market in India has witnessed a couple of launches from the leading brands at the beginning of this year with Vivo’s S1 Pro and Oppo’s F15 hitting the youth segment. With Realme and Redmi still stealing the show in the under 20,000/- category, let us take a look at the newbies specifications and features in comparison to their strong rival Realme X2.
All the mid-range smartphones come equipped with the stylish quad camera setup on the back, with Oppo and Vivo having 48 megapixel sensors while Realme sports a 64 MP camera. Oppo’s F15 differs from its native opponents as it comes packed with a Helio P70 SoC processor unlike the Qualcomm Snapdragon-driven models of Realme and Vivo.
Both Oppo F15 and Vivo S1 Pro are laid on the same platter for the under 20,000/- segment. Both come at Rs. 19,990/- for a single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version. As for Realme X2, the various storage versions begin at a price of Rs. 16,999 for the base model 4GB RAM + 64GB. The 6GB RAM + 128GB model comes at Rs. 18,999 and the top-notch 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model comes at Rs. 19,999/-.
Oppo F15 is launched in two shades - Lightning Black and Unicorn White while its competitors come in three shades. Vivo S1 Pro is launched in three shades of Dreamy White, Mystic Black, and Jazy Blue. Realme X2 comes in “Pearl” hues of white, green, and blue. Oppo F15 is comparatively lightweight with a polycarbonate body that weighs 172 g. Realme is heavier at 182 g with a make in 3D Glass.
All three youth-centric brands sport the trendy quad camera setup. Both Vivo and Oppo have a rear camera of 48MP primary lens while Realme X2 has an edge with 64 MP lens with an f/1.8 lens. Oppo F15 has aF1.79 aperture and 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a front camera of 16 MP with F2.0 aperture. Vivo S1 Pro has an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The smartphone also features two 2-megapixel sensors with f/2.4 lenses. Realme X2 features a front camera of 32MP f/2.0 sensor, and rear camera of 64MP + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth. | |
Oppo F15 comes with a 4,000 mAh battery very much like its competitor Realme X2. While Oppo has a 20W, VOOC 3.0 charge, Realme X2 features a 30W VOOC Flash charge 4.0. Vivo S1 Pro on the other hand, leads with a 4,100mAh battery and is supported by the brand’s own 18W Dual-Engine Fast Charging.
Both Oppo F15 and Realme X2 feature a 6.4 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display while Vivo S1 Pro comes with a comparatively smaller display of a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED full HD+ display and a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The smartphone has Schott Xensation 3D display protection and also has a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Oppo F15 has a resolution of 1800 x 2400 pixels, while Realme X2 comes with a 1080 x 2340 resolution and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. All the smartphones come with the trendy water-drop notch.
Oppo F15 sports a MediaTek Helio P70 processor while both Vivo S1 Pro and Realme X2 are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon. S1 Pro has a 665 processor with Adreno 610 GPU while , Realme is equipped with a 730G SoC with Adreno 618 GPU. |
All three mobiles feature 8GB+128GB storage. Realme X2 has other storage versions of 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB +128GB. Both Oppo F15 and Realme X2 have expandable storage through micro SD of up to 256GB.
All three smartphones run on Android 9.0 pie. Realme X2 has colour OS 6.0 on top , Oppo F15 an updated colour OS 6.1.2 while Vivo S1 Pro comes with a skin of Funtouch OS 9.2.
All the three mobiles share the same sensor features like Face Unlock feature, fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope etc. Both Oppo F15 and Vivo S1 Pro feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
