Oppo F15 - Launch in India, Price, Feature Specifications

Now it is Oppo’s turn to launch its new F15 for the mid-range consumers, rubbing shoulders with peers and strong rivals Realme and Redmi. The youth-centric smartphone features the quad camera setup, along with an in-display finger-print sensor and 4000 mAh battery. 

Priced at Rs.19,990/- Oppo F15 is light weight at 7.9mm thickness and is introduced in two basic shades Unicorn White and Lightening Black with laser light reflection.

The mobile will hit the sales by January 24 through online portals like Oppo India online store, Amazon.in, Flipkart etc as well as offline retailers in the country.

SPECIFICATIONS

Sporting a dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo’s newbie runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1.2 on top. The smartphone has an appreciable  6.4-inch full-HD AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio and  a 1080x2400 pixels resolution. The device features an In-Display Fingerprint 3.0 that ensures quick and easy screen unlock and has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection and anti-scratch.

Contrary to the popular chinese brands that seem to favor a Qualcomm Snapdragon to run their devices, Oppo has, under the hood, an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 (MT6771V) SoC.  The processor is paired with Mali G72 MP3 GPU with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. 

CAMERA

Oppo F15’s rear quad camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor and an f/1.79 lens. There is a secondary sensor of 8-megapixel  ultra-wide-angle lens with a FoV (field-of-view) of 119 degrees. The phone includes a couple of 2-megapixel sensors with f/2.4 lenses for portrait and monochrome shots.

As for selfies, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.0 lens. The AI Video Beautification and Gender and Age Detection are intended to lure in the young customers. Opp F15 also sports a Bokeh Mode as well as Night Portrait Mode that are made effective through the 2-megapixel image sensors at the back.
